Frequently asked questions

What is Veliora?

Veliora is an Android family safety app that offers live location sharing, safe-zone alerts, one-tap SOS, driving safety and earthquake alerts inside a private circle that family and close ones join with their consent. It is developed by Editalabs, an independent software studio based in Istanbul.

Is Veliora free? How much does it cost?

The download is free and every feature can be tried free for 7 days. After that a monthly or yearly subscription is required; Google Play shows the price in your local currency. There are no ads in the app.

How many people does one subscription cover?

The circle owner's subscription covers everyone in the circle — members don't each need to pay. A circle can have up to 6 people.

Is Veliora available on iPhone?

Not at the moment. Veliora is available for Android (7.0 and later) on Google Play only.

Can I track someone without them knowing?

No. A person can only join a circle by invitation and by accepting on their own phone. Location sharing uses the phone's own location permissions and a persistent notification is shown while the app is active. Veliora is not designed for covert tracking.

Can I use it for my child?

Veliora is intended for adults 18 and over. A parent can add their child's account to their own circle with the Child role. Usage analytics are not collected for Child accounts.

Who can see my location?

Only the people in the circle you joined. Data is never sold to third parties or used for advertising. See the privacy policy.

Why does it ask for background location?

So that safe-zone arrival and departure alerts, driving safety and SOS keep working when the app is not on screen. You can turn the permission off in your phone settings at any time; those features will then stop working.

What is a safe zone?

An area you draw on the map, such as home, school or work. When a circle member arrives at or leaves it, the circle gets a notification.

How does SOS work?

Tap SOS and everyone in your circle receives an emergency alert with your location. If a possible crash is detected while driving, the same alert is sent automatically. Veliora does not replace official emergency services — in an emergency, call your local emergency number.

What is the Tour Guide role?

It lets tour guides share location with their group during a tour. Location sharing within a tour does not require a subscription.

How do I cancel my subscription?

In Google Play Store → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions, choose Veliora and cancel; the “Manage subscription” link in the app opens the same page. Access continues until the end of the paid period.

What happens if I get a refund?

If a payment is refunded through Google Play, subscription access ends immediately. Refunds are handled under Google Play's policies.

How do I delete my account?

In the app, or on the account deletion page. Important: deleting your account does not cancel your Google Play subscription — cancel it in the Play Store first to stop further charges.

Which languages are supported?

16 languages, including English, Turkish, German, French and Arabic. The app follows your phone's language, and notifications are shown in the recipient's own language.

How do I get support?

Use “Report a problem” in the app or write to info@edita.com.tr.
